Washington County Arrests Today: Official Feed Status
The official Washington County Sheriff page lists no current inmate roster. No daily booking PDF appears. No searchable arrest table exists. What it does offer is contact information, a Facebook page, accident-report services, and mobile apps. That absence says nothing about whether anyone was arrested today. The jail keeps its own records regardless of what appears online.
For a live custody question, start with the Washington County Sheriff/Jail at 116 West High Street in Potosi. The number is 573-438-5478. County hours run 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Staff can explain which verification channel exists. Ask directly whether someone is held and whether a booking was completed. Ask which custodian takes a written request.
The county's Sheriff page displays the official contact and app hub. View the official Sheriff page.

The page serves as a routing reference, not a roster of who was booked.
How to Check Washington County’s Last 24 Hours
With no public same-day list, work outward from the source closest to the custody event. Keep the person's full name ready. Note the approximate arrest time and the arresting agency too. A city police arrest and a county jail booking often leave records split. The records sit between two offices.
- Check the official Sheriff page for a new roster link or service notice before relying on an old bookmark.
- Call the Sheriff/Jail at 573-438-5478 and ask how current Washington County custody can be confirmed.
- Search Missouri MOVANS through VINELink for an available local-jail custody entry, checking identity and facility carefully.
- If Potosi Police or another agency made the arrest, contact that agency for its arrest report while asking the jail about the booking record.
- If a document is needed, send a narrow Sunshine Law request naming the person, date range, agency, and requested arrest or booking record.
For a wider map of Washington County sources, including court and post-release routes, use the Washington County recent-arrests hub. One silent system proves nothing either way. Recent arrests can sit in a place you have not checked yet.
What a Washington County Same-Day Record May Show
Washington County has published no official feed, so there is no confirmed field list, photo rule, or cutoff for an "arrested today" display. Ask the records custodian for the useful items. A public screen may not show each one.
| Requested field | What it helps establish |
|---|---|
| Full name and identifying details | Whether the entry concerns the right person, especially when names match. |
| Booking number | The jail identifier for the processing event and a precise follow-up reference. |
| Arrest and booking time | Which event occurred when; these timestamps need not be the same. |
| Arresting agency | Which office may hold the underlying arrest or incident report. |
| Charges as listed at booking | Charges recorded at intake, subject to later amendment or dismissal. |
| Bond or release information | Status maintained by the source at the time it was checked. |
| Booking photograph | Whether an image is maintained and publicly releasable for that booking. |
No web photo policy exists for Washington County either. Ask the custodian whether a booking image exists and whether the public can see it. A missing photograph does not mean none was taken. And a photo on some unofficial mirror proves nothing about its date or origin.
When Today’s Washington County Booking Has Not Appeared
Washington County states no rule about when bookings appear online. Hourly, within 24 hours, after fingerprinting, weekdays only? None of that is confirmed local practice. Weekend entries waiting until Monday is another familiar claim with no documented basis here.
Meanwhile, plenty can happen behind the scenes. A person may be arrested before booking. A transfer may come in on a warrant. A citation and release may happen without a jail booking. Or someone may be freed. That can happen before an outside search updates. A web entry is a publication choice, separate from the jail's internal record. Case.net starts its own clock, since prosecutors and courts file later. Write down the timestamp you saw, the source, and when you checked it.
Washington County Arrest Checks Through MOVANS and the Sheriff App
Missouri MOVANS, reached through VINELink, is the state's official custody and court notification route. It works when local data flows in. It can surface an available custody record for Washington County. But the county promises no instant transmission of every booking. Check any result for the right person, reporting agency, facility, and custody type.
The Sheriff page also links Android and Apple versions of the Washington County Sheriff app. Store descriptions mention public-safety news and tips. They also cover agency communication. A live jail roster or same-day booking photo is not guaranteed. Treat the app as one official channel, not a records confirmation.
The Google Play listing documents the app's official role. See the Washington County Sheriff app listing.

The listing supports the app for agency updates. It does not prove any same-day booking feature.
Request a Washington County Arrest Record From Today
Need actual paperwork? Ask the agency that made the arrest. The jail may hold the booking record separately. Missouri Revised Statutes §610.100 frames an arrest report around the arrest, detention or confinement, and the charge. A tight request speeds things up. Give the full name and a narrow date range, plus the arresting agency or case number if known. State exactly which items you want.
Ask for the public arrest report and the booking record. Request a booking photograph only if the office keeps and releases one. Electronic copies usually cost the least, so ask for that format and an estimate before any billed work begins. If anything gets withheld or redacted, ask which statute applies and request the separable remainder. The Washington County Sheriff's public page lists no request form, records email, or booking fee schedule. Call and ask which channel handles records now.
§610.023 sets the clock. A custodian must act as soon as possible. That means no later than the end of the third business day after receiving the request. That deadline covers the response itself, not full production. Restricted material, juvenile files, victim information, and investigative details can still be withheld or redacted.
Booked, Released, Filed, and Sentenced Are Different
Give each system one job. The Sheriff and the jail together handle local custody and booking records. MOVANS can reflect local jail, court, and Missouri DOC events. Case.net tracks the filed court case. That covers hearings, bond details where shown, and the eventual disposition. The DOC Offender Search covers state custody or supervision. It does not track the original county booking.
| Status | Best next source |
|---|---|
| Just arrested or processing | Arresting agency and Sheriff/Jail; outside systems may not yet show it. |
| In local custody | Sheriff/Jail, then MOVANS if an entry is available. |
| Released | Agency or jail record request; the live custody result may be gone. |
| Case filed | Case.net and the Washington County Circuit Clerk. |
| Sentenced to state custody | Missouri DOC Offender Search. |

Today’s Washington County Arrest Is an Accusation
An arrest record notes one fact. An agency took the person into custody or began the arrest process. The charge shown at booking is simply what officers entered that day.
Check the filed court case. Its disposition shows what happened after the booking. Cite each source with its date and custody state.
